Who are the Wizards?

United Kingdom
The legends of lash! Wizards for life! Barry McEvoy - originated from Ireland back in the 1980's. He is best known nowadays not for his potatoe picking but for the consumption of ungodly foods such as..'burgers, crisps, choclate and of course sweets'! Lets just say that Baz stands out in a crowd. Jonathan Hubbleday - himself also born in the 1980's however many believe some time long before that judging on the thick carpet of stubble than engrosses his face! John is also best known for his ability to get rid of many party bags worth of Haribo everyday which is evident from his somewhat odd physique! He also has a problem of doing stuff for himself! James Deytrikh -You will see his nose enter the room before he does. A fine model of a man supported by what can only be described as a pair of 'ladies legs', yes they are small but decpetively powerfull! Mike Lowe - the most recent addition to the Wizards and his behaviour is defiently at Wizard standards! His cartoon face and quick wit (somewhat odd wit really),will provide us all with much entertainment. His passions are football and aircraft but since travelling he has definetly been practising other passions!!!

Bad Banana Banter

So next stop on the coast – Tully, the self proclaimed Wettest Place in Australia! So far so good! The general plan was to land in and spend two weeks living and working in
Tully on the countless banana farms which would hopefully aid the financial department in the upcoming spending spree. After the first few hours, we realised this wasn’t going to be as easy as expected!

We were shown to our ‘room’ and got ourselves sorted before finding out our working deployments for the next day. Unfortunately, Hubbs got separated from Baz and Dach and went off to work with some Scottish lesbians while we headed off the Steven Lowes Banana Farm. We were greeted on the first day by the local workers who had obviously only ever worked with bananas all their lives and didn’t take to kindly to ‘foreigners’ intruding in their daily lives. We soon got to work – 8 hours of tying banana trees together to stop them falling over – who even cares if they do!! All this was done in torrential tropical rain – all day long!

The next few days were followed by similar easy, but seriously monotonous jobs! Due to possible food or water problems, Dach took ill on the Wednesday night complete with some serious vomiting etc. This resulted in a cushty day-off for the Russian while Baz and Hubbs went off to earn the days money!! By this time the Wizards had decided that they had had their fill of Tully, bananas and rain, so it came it as a relief that the week was drawing to a close when Baz took ill on Thursday meaning another missed day of work..

As a conclusion, Tully was the worst town any of us had ever been to, the worst hostel any of us had ever stayed in and the worst job we’ve ever had too…
Pretty sure we all hate bananas now!
